From the forest park to a view of Žilina

We don't always have enough time to visit places that are farther from where we live. After a workday we don't have much time left, but we can always choose a place in the surroundings that is interesting and at the same time allows us to get some movement important for our health and to recharge our energy after a demanding day. One such place is located just a short distance beyond Žilina, above the village of Rosina. It is suitable for hikers as well as for cycling, and your four-legged friends will thank you too if you bring them along. A great added value of this place is the wide view of the surroundings, which we feel as an inner sense of freedom and relaxation. Views of the city of Žilina, Lietava Castle and the wide surroundings are a given here, and the sunsets are unique. If we came by car, we can park by the small pond that served to settle the fly ash washed in from the Žilina heating plant.
